Food and Cooking in Brazil
November 14, 2017 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pmFree – $7.00
8 people are attending Food and Cooking in Brazil
Our last cooking class was so much fun and such a big success that we’re going to repeat the same idea using a delicious Brazilian recipe!
We’ll break the class up into two teams who will each be given a recipe to follow. Mom volunteers will help lead the groups through their recipe but the kids will cook from start to finish. They’ll learn cutting skills and cooking methods and their goal is to complete the recipe and serve a delicious meal to the judges!
Volunteer mom judges will evaluate each dish based on taste, presentation, and accuracy to the recipe they were given.
We’re going to be enjoying this “Moqueca Baiana” which is richly flavorful, but not spicy! 🙂 It’s a step outside the comfort zone for most kids, but not SO far outside as to be scary! 🙂
It’s important going into this that parents encourage their children to try what they make! But I also encourage you to bring along a lunch just in case your children do not like the meal we make. ♥
BONUS: Kids will also be making Brazilian Lemonade to go with this dish! 🙂 So they’ll learn TWO recipes and we’ll all get to have both a delicious meal and a refreshing drink to go along with it.
Below I list the ingredients in each recipe so you can be aware of any allergens etc. Every family will go home with printed recipes so you can recreate it again at home if you love it!
